Adventure via ferrata:

The Gemmi adventure via ferrata is located on the historic Gemmi Pass, below the Gemmi cable car mountain station, at around 2,300 m above sea level.The Steig does not quite correspond to that of a normal via ferrata, but also contains various elements of a rope park.The route runs horizontally for a total length of approx. 1300 m below the Wildstrubel mountain restaurant and the Gemmi cable car mountain station.Numerous thrilling attractions await the visitor. Highlights are certainly the 65 m long rope bridge or the 20 m high turntable ladder, which rotates 540°.

Requirement profile:

The adventure via ferrata is only suitable for those with a head for heights and experienced mountaineers, the ascent is at your own risk. Young people under the age of 18 may only climb the via ferrata when accompanied by adults.

equipment:

Helmet (mandatory), harness and via ferrata set, ie 2 running carabiners (with automatic locking) and with connecting ropes and with a braking system are necessary!! No vine cords because they tear in a fall. Gloves with a good grip prove to be an additional comfort on the wire ropes and offer protection against injury.

Danger:

no inspection in rain and thunderstorms. Visitors are always connected to the safety rope with at least one carabiner. Movement without security is prohibited.

The ascent is always at your own risk, and the IG Klettersteig association expressly rejects any liability.

Opening hours:

Mid - late May (depending on snowmelt) to late October (subject to change).

The adventure via ferrata will be opened in spring , whereby the opening date depends on the weather conditions. The closing date in autumn depends on the weather and snow conditions, after that the adventure via ferrata remains closed over the winter.
